The great reunion

This week marked a momentous occasion for The Right Agency as, five and a half months since the entire team was last together in the flesh, we were finally reunited in the office.

The team has worked really well from home during lockdown – gaining plenty of great coverage for clients, despite the challenges of the last few months. We’re very lucky to be able to do our work efficiently at home, and thanks to platforms like Zoom it’s easier than ever to connect remotely, too.

But, having said all that, you just can’t beat the social interaction of being together in the office. Not only for the office natter and brew-drinking, but also for sharing impromptu ideas, working collaboratively and being part of a community – which are invaluable aspects of work that you can’t quite replicate over video call.

Returning to the office is far from business as usual though. We’ve had to figure out how to return safely – which means staggered days in the office and plenty of hand sanitizer, antibacterial wipes and one-way systems, alongside all sorts of other new safety measures. This week we adjusted to our newly socially-distanced desk set-up and – much to the team’s disappointment – solo tea rounds.

So while we’re easing ourselves back in, one or two days together a week is definitely better than none, and although we’ve only had one full day reunited so far we’re already feeling the benefits of having a little slice of normality back (and a big slice of pizza!)
